What\’s in a name?

Hi! How are you all doing?

I want to share with you the meaning of my business name – 47 Strings Mystic Yoga. My maiden name is Harps. I have never studied the harp, but I have always been fascinated by it and its sound. It’s so majestic and pleasing to my ears.

The harp has 47 strings. The number 4 means stability, patience, wisdom, and trust. The number 7 resonates with mysticism, intuition, inner strength, spiritual awakening, enlightenment, and manifesting good fortune. In the bible, 4 means the creation of the most important elements; earth, air, fire, and water. The biblical symbolism of the number 7 is completion, rest, and the unity of the 4 corners of the earth with the Holy Trinity. In the Koran, there are 7 heavens. Muslims make a pilgrim walk around the Kabba in Mecca 7 times. In the book of Revelation, there are 7 churches; angels, seals, trumpets, and stars. The sum of the two numbers – 11 – means disorder and chaos… my life before now, in survival mode. 11 is a master number in numerology also meaning awakening, harmony, empathy, sensitivity, and leadership.

Numbers did not have much significance in my life until I needed a name for my yoga experience. I am happy to have encountered this knowledge. I am not sure if I will look into it any further. Knowing that there is so much meaning to numbers is spiritually connecting to people from our past, the earth, and to our beliefs. The bible acknowledges Jesus with 47 miracles. The tropics of Cancer and Capricorn are located 47 degrees apart. My mother’s astrological sign was Cancer. I am Capricorn. The Declaration of Independence has 47 sentences. Number 47 is supposed to be the most common recurring number, showing up randomly in our lives. Of course now that I said this, some of you will think of it as more of a suggestion than random. I hope you find my number and business name connection enjoyable, because I had fun learning about it!

In July, I\’ll look into the sanskrit meaning of the mountain pose or Tadasana and what it means to me. I will also begin my adaptive yoga Zoom series. I will tell you the beginning theme/focus and drop the link to my intro class..  Thanks for reading! Namaste☀️
