Security

\"\"

“Champions are motivated by the idea that their security is in their ability to perform. The great ones live for challenge, and often they love the battle for the prize more than the prize itself. They love the battle because they expect to win, and their positive expectation continues to grow with each victory. Extrinsic things like money will never make you feel secure unless you are secure on
the inside
;
unless you believe you have the ability to deal with whatever happens
between your birth day and your death day.”

I was reading an article the other day and came across the quote you just read. It stuck with me so I had to share! There are 2 parts of the quote that I want to highlight because they resonate with me and with my coaching!

\"\"

\”… their positive expectation continues to grow with each victory.\” – I want to highlight the power of a positive mindset and what victory truly means. The self-belief and self-confidence continues to grow with each win… and there are no small wins! Each time you get a positive result from an action that YOU did around your goals, it needs to be acknowledged in order to build that confidence that YOU have what it takes to succeed! Even in \”perceived\” failure, there is a lesson to be learned. When you take that learning, failures are truly victories as well!

\"\"

\”Extrinsic things like money will never make you feel secure unless you are secure on the inside…\” – you can substitute just about anything here for \”money\” – food, drugs, cars, alcohol, or just about any other materialistic thing that provides temporary security. You could also insert something like other people\’s opinions and people themselves, but that\’s a conversation for another post (lol). The point is until you address the things on the inside that you deal with (the stories that we tell ourselves that keep us from achieving what we want) and transform them into that self-belief and self-confidence, no amount of ______ (fill in the blank) is going to make you feel secure. True, simple, and complicated all at the same time!

\"\"

So how do you transform the false security from the extrinsic things into self-confidence and self-belief? The key to that door lies in creating the conditions for inevitable success! How are you creating the conditions for inevitable success in your life? Leave a comment and let me know!
