Vegan Burger

With all the plant based products out there that are trying to replicate meat, if you want to eat a plant based burger, you might as well make one yourself and keep it clean!! I came across this recipe on Instagram created by recipesandplaces. Looks simple and easy (which is alwayas the goal)… enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 1 can red kidney beans
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • ⅓ cup bread crumbs
  • ⅓ cup oats
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • ¼ cup walnuts
  • Cumin (to taste)
  • Paprika (to taste)
  • Salt (pinch)
  • Parsley

Directions

  1. Add all the ingredients into a blender and mix together
  2. When the mixture binds together, take some of the mixture and roll into little balls by hand
  3. Heat the skillet/pan with a little bit of oil
  4. Flatten the ball into patties. Place in the skillet/pan and fry on each side for approx. 4 min
  5. Serve on a bun (optional) with your favorite toppings and enjoy
